CentOS

However, most OS are custom Software, which means they have to be purchased. Though slightly expensive, such an OS guarantees the best performances. Nonetheless, you should not worry about such expenses, since centOS brings forth a similar experience with a cost-free rate. Possibly, you might be wondering what is this centOS being mentioned.

About CentOS

Community Enterprise OS (centOS), is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. With its stable and easy-to-manage platform from the RHEL, centOS Linux is cost-free. Being a community-based platform, centOS is also free to redistribute.

Created by a small team of dedicated developers, system administrators, network admins, managers, and Linux distributors across the world, the team wishes to see the system grow and establish centOS as the leading community platform across the world.

CentOS are mostly used by Linux users, web hosts, and entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, centOS being a free commodity doesn’t lack its fair share of disadvantages. Its major one being that it lacks a direct centOS support system. This factor, however, doesn’t disqualify it as a good product.

CentOS has also evolved with time, with the new one being centOS 8. With its amazing features, cento has grown to be a highly reliable product. Many terms it as “too good to be free”.
